Asker: Hi Katya! I really didn't understand this line! I think that the policeman is talking about the girl's husband who is in jail. This line is really difficult. There are quite a few subtitles and they skipped this line, because the translator didn't understand what the policeman meant. I posted the link with the whole film. Playing off nesse pouco contexto, acredito que tenha o sentido de contrariar algo ou agir numa perspectiva diferente a fim de obter uma vantagem.
