English term or phrase: microsite
Dear all
Presumably, this would be more of a question for our native speaker experts. Would you know the "prevalent" pronunciation of the term "microsite" in English? I thought that, like Microsoft, microlight and other micro- compounds, the pronunciation would be analogous but I am being told that even the English pronounce it as MIKRO - sorry for not using the correct pronunciation signs - do not know how. Thanks for any answers or links.

micor part same pronunciation with Micorsoft and the site part as in parasite
Explanation:
If we separate the word into two parts, micro and -site the first part should be pronounced as in Microsoft or microcosm, and the second part should be pronounced the same as in parasite or website.

Samozřejmě ta výslovnost je narychlo/nedokonalá, ale "aj" je patrné. :)
Co jsem ještě koukal, tak micro se ve všech slovech, na která jsem narazil, vyslovuje takto.
