what does it mean, when they say about the printer toner that it yields 6,000 pages at 5% coverage?

My guess is, it refers to the portion of the page covered in ink. 5% coverage would mean that 5% of the page actually has ink on it, the rest being white.

agree  Ulrike Lieder (X): Interesting way of putting it - of course the cartridge lasts much longer if you cover only 5% of the page with ink. Looks like they're trying to pull the wool over the consumer's eyes....
