effects of being embedded
Explanation:
Is this the title of a chapter? I discount this being a sentence.

Anyway, I think it is about the way/strength of the main buildings being embedded in the site is reflected in their response to seismic loads and the soil. But I feel that "response" is something strange in this non-sentence, although I could explain it as sg. like 'effect of embedment on the site's response to...' or 'effect of embedment felt/shown/detectable in the site response'. But this probably doesn't affect the meaning of the phrase requested.

Notes to answerer
Asker: it is not a title

Asker: I also felt that "response" is strange here!

agree  Yvonne Gallagher: "effects" is a noun here. Read it as "...site's response" and then it's clear //But you said it was wrong in your 11.04 discussion comment. There's nothing "strange" about "response" at all

-> Thanks, Gallagy. Just as I suggested in my second sentence, not in my discussion point, I said, "I could explain it as sg. like 'effect of embedment on the site's response to...'", hardly saying it was wrong, but another interpretation, don't you think.
