English term or phrase: foundation
Hello everyone,

This course of lessons will stimulate and inspire you to achieve success; it will bring you into perfect harmony with the laws of success. It will give you a firmer hold on your duties and responsibilities.

The methods of thought concentration given in this work if put into practice will open up interior avenues that will connect you with the everlasting laws of Being and their exhaustless ***foundation*** of unchangeable truth

Does "foundation" mean source/fountain (in the sense of source) here?

Thank you.

Selected answer:fount
Explanation:
"fount of knowledge", as the source or origin of knowledge, is a recognised collocation, and at least one book has been written with this name. The collocation "exhaustless knowledge" is also widely used:

The term "exhaustless" also implies an out-going source that will never dry up, like a "fount", however, if you are looking for something to rest on instead, another term like the ones suggested might be better.

agree  Jack Doughty: "Exhaustless" in the original should be "inexhaustible". I think the answerer's suggestion, in the form of "inexhaustible fountain", would then make good sense.
