I think it must be a misprint for silage. Google turns up no references for vilage except misspelt villages, but sorbic acid is used to treat silage.

I just think they are trying to say something along the lines of "against spoilage", having created "vilage" from "vile" or something of the sort. Who knows what's on the minds of the Greeks...
