now it's my turn to be abducted Explanation: Unless there is something else in the missing context to suggest otherwise, I think it simply means "everyone else has already been abducted, and now i'm the last one left and it's my turn" I don't see any hint of 'rescuing' — unless of course it were "It's down to me to do something about it." -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 10 hrs (2020-06-02 05:02:52 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I don't think that really changes anything; it sounds as if he's saying "... and now it should have been my turn, but I was smart enough to avoid it" But do note that is just the sort of additional context we are frequently asking for. |
