And now it's come down to me.

If someone became the last one between his friends who got abducted is saying that. Does it mean he has to rescue them?

Unless there is something else in the missing context to suggest otherwise, I think it simply means "everyone else has already been abducted, and now i'm the last one left and it's my turn"
I don't see any hint of 'rescuing' — unless of course it were "It's down to me to do something about it."

I don't think that really changes anything; it sounds as if he's saying "... and now it should have been my turn, but I was smart enough to avoid it"

Asker: Actually, after saying that, he used a camera and shot himself saying, "I didn't get abducted because I was smarter than the others." Is that makes a different? Thank you.
