English term or phrase: LAN connection
At some hotels, guests can use Wi-Fi or LAN (connections), or”Internet areas” in the lobbies with computers available for use.

Some one (English native speaker) added connections after LAN.
But in the Internet "you can use Wi-Fi" and "use LAN" are used in many cases.

Both okay?

I am assuming that your question is whether it is okay to use "LAN or Wi-Fi connections"? IMO, LAN or Wi-Fi are terms that are readily understood by many without the use of the word "connection(s)", but it depends on how your texts reads. Equally, by adding connections, I don´t see the harm!

Explanation:
The reason the writer has added (connections) is to make it clear that they are referring to 2 different levels of service — one, where the hotel etc. simply passively provides a Wi-fi or LAN access, but the guest etc. has to come along with their own computer; and the other, where the establishment provides a room that has not only the appropriate connectiosn, but also, computers available for people to use.
