I am a Danish journalist and like to use this phrase in an article: Act local - help global. It's in an NGO charity context helping developing countries. But does it make sence at all for at native English speaker?

Your option is understandable but this sounds better to my ear. You could also use "act locally - help globally" but I prefer the version above.
