Section 11.4 Multiple Actions The Parties acknowledge that the remedies set forth in this Agreement may require multiple proceedings to be conducted following default, with respect to the injuries sustained by a Party hereto. The Parties agree that neither party shall be prevented from commencing and prosecuting such multiple proceedings as a result of any prior proceedings, hereby waive any claim of lack of diligence, waiver, compulsory claims and similar defenses with respect thereto.

What does this "multiple proceedings" mean? Does it mean:

1. several lawsuits, or
2. a mix of proceedings (lawsuit, arbitration, mediation etc.)?

And also, I don't understand why "neither Party shall be prevented from commencing and prosecuting such proceedings as a result of an prior proceedings"? What is the purpose that they add such a clause?

It would be appreciated if you could explain to me the last sentence too, the line starting with "hereby waive...".

Explanation:
that can take place despite any previous proceedings. So, it doesn't matter what the previous court cases are as there may be further ones that can proceed
