English term or phrase: registry collaboration agreement

I am translating into Polish a short addendum to a ‘’registry collaboration agreement’’ entered into by a pharmaceutical company and a hospital.
The addendum simply extends the term of the agreement:
‘’The term of the Agreement is amended and extended from the Addendum Effective Date but shall apply retrospectively to services already provided under the Agreement as of from January 2012 and shall now terminate on December 31 2013.’’

I don’t have access to this collaboration agreement itself. I am not clear about the word ‘’registry’’ in this context. Might this be an agreement to collaborate in order to get a certain medication registered with appropriate authorities?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Explanation:
I would agree with your suggestion, having seen the first definition of "registry" in the link below. And it seems likely that a pharmaceutical company and a hospital would be collaborating on this, perhaps in clinical trials of a new drug.
