Asker: Thank you so much, Phil! I was actually missing a part of the meaning... I thought it was somewhat an "idiomatic" expression. Now I understand the sentence better... "in ogni stagione" is right or maybe "ogni sport a prescindere dalla stagione", "qualunque fosse la stagione"..but I'll think over that..
