English term or phrase: tee
There is a table entitled conductivity and there are two columns in it. In the first column there is an item code, in the second the description of the given item.

So an item code is, let's say: 060-TR5331.99
And the description of the item is:
"Conductivity sensor, inductive, incl. cable & tee"

What is tee here?

Tee-joint
Explanation:
A connecting piece with an input at the bottom of the T and outputs from either side at the top of it. Or maybe T-connector would be a better name for it in the context.

agree  Tony M: Both are slightly odd terms; the most commone would probably be T-piece, though i'm noit sure if this would have made things any clearer for Asker!

-> Thank you. Well, we know it's called a tee; I think the asker wants an explanation rather than a synonym. And as an explanation, I admit this isn't all that clear.

agree  George Rabel: very likely, and easier to understand by the lay person than tee-joint
