of "market place" i.e. a place where sellers (who are not necessarily professional traders) rent a small stall and sell directly to visitors, in fact if it wasn't for the mention of "shop" that would be my first association: some kind of "table top sale" / "car boot sale" / Sunday market and similar.

There are also shops that would take your goods and display them for sale - but your goods stay in your ownership until sold!

If someone buys them you get a proportion of the sale price, if no one wants them after some time you have to or you can take them back.

Also, you can "trade your goods" COULD also mean you can barter your goods!

Without the additional explanation "In this case, the shop purchases the goods and put it up for sale" it would be VERY far from obvious!

Seeing from the Asker's note on David's answer, I understand that your question is if you can use "trade" when you "sell" your goods TO the shop, where your sales proceeds come directly from the shop, not from the shop's customers through the shop. Then, "you can trade your goods at xxx shop" may be misleading, although it may not be wrong, because it sounds like you use the shop as an avenue for selling your goods. "The shop can purchase your goods and put them up for sale" or "You can sell your goods to the shop and they will put them up for sale" may be far less ambiguous than "You can trade your goods at xxx shop".
