assanation of the oral cavity or oral cavity assanation Explanation: After looking around, I see that assanation of the oral cavity and oral cavity assanation is regularly used in English. It seems that there was just a misprint in your text but this expression is definitely used in dentistry. Reference: http://www.freepatentsonline.com/3996377.html |

Reference: Assanation is not in my medical dictionaries Reference information: Hi, assanation is not in any of my medical dictionaries and I don't find the Ghits convincing. I have been unable to find a single term that covers the process but there is a lot of stuff about this kind of dental/oral examination and treatment prior to radiotherapy for head and neck cancer to minimise future oral complications. You may need to use a wordier explanation if noone can come up with a single term that covers this idea. e.g. http://web1.dental.tcd.ie/index.php?option=com_content&task=... "The pre-radiation dental and oral management will include treatment to achieve oral health prior to radiotherapy and education to maintain long-term oral and dental health" |
