Explanation:
A region in topographic anatomy delimits an area of the body which involves several organs, such as the Mediastinum for example:

it includes the lungs, the heart, the veins and arteries running through it, etc., and it has topographic limits, for example_ the diaphragm at the bottom, if I remember well plus lateral and top boundaries.
