that's the vision measured without correction

then there's "cc" cum correctionem (with correction)

the vision can be measured with no correction (sc), and it's also measured with correction/glasses on (cc)

I'd like to ask if the abbreviation sc after VOD and VOS was of any help. Do you know what it means, is it perhaps as simple as an indication of what the patient is capable of reading on the chart at the optician's?

the hits may be from the Balkans as the Balkans doctors are more prone to the use of latinisms than anglophone doctors. The anglophone/English translator probably avoided touching those abbreviations as they are understood by English doctors, just not commonly used. the abbreviations may also be kept for easier matching of files, protocols, etc.
