Health care delivery is what the patients actually get. Any of the above can apply to a chain of services, depending from your viewpoint. For example the state makes provision for healthcare of the citizens, from this provision the Ministry of Health or similar body organises the supply of health care and the organisations and individuals working in the health care system deliver it. On another level, a hospital provides the supply of care, and the doctors, nurses, etc. deliver it. Or the health insurance provides the possibility of treatment, which is supplied and delivered by the hospitals, specialists, etc. The hospital may provide certain facilities, delivered by its staff. The local authority provides home care, supplied by its "home care department", delivered by people they employ for that purpose. In other words, it really depends on the subject and approach of the text which expression is used. |
