needle stick injury

English translation: needlestick injury

09:48 Oct 12, 2012
English language (monolingual) [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Health Care / injuries
English term or phrase: needle stick injury
Is this terminology OK in UK English? I would have thought 'puncture wound from a needle' was better, in the UK.
(It occurs in a description of the precautions to take when handling disposable syringes pre-filled with a pharmaceutical preparation).
