dirty potentiometers
Explanation:
CTS pots - used by The Gibson Custom Shop in its VOS (Vintage Original Spec) Series guitars to accurately reproduce the electronics found in vintage Les Pauls. Potentiometers or "pots" are the electronic components in the guitar that control volume and tone. CTS pots were used in vintage Les Paul guitars and are better constructed than pots used in later Les Pauls. Called CTS pots for the CTS Corporation—an international company based in Elkhart, Indiana—who designs and manufactures elecronic components. See "Bumblebee capacitors."
