house does this make sense? Explanation: You give no context for this question. However, in principle, "house" is not a word that has an "antonym". The answers given so far assume that you really mean indoors or enclosed space by "house" - but then why use the word "house" at all? If by "house" you mean a constructed/built space, then the opposite would be "unbuilt". Now that we have more explanation, I suggest that you really need to use "home", not "house" and as the contrast (not antonym), something like: exile, homelessness, rootlessness, banishment, uprootedness ... |
