It all depends on what you are trying to say, as 'for all students' and 'for all the students' actually mean slightly different things. If you mean all students, globally, then you don't want a def. article: "All students have to go to school tll they reach 16" But if you mean all of some particular group of students, which is a subset of 'all students', then you must use the article: "Following the sit-in, all of the students [that were involved in it] knew they would be punished."
From the small amount of context give, it seems to me you are talking in a global sense, hence no def. art. |
