Unfortunately, I don’t have any patent number either any clue concerning the applicant…. only the following documents have been mentioned: Japanese Patents Kokai No. 2001-305605, 2007-34042 and 2001-215555.

Is there any clue in the English patent about the original Japanese patent number, or even the inventor or company? Without being able to look at the original Japanese it will be very difficult to work out exactly what is meant.

I hope our JP colleague has been able to help you, because this is clearly nonsensical EN and the only way you can hope to work this out is via back-translation.

I have a faint suspicion that they are trying to say 'irregular shutter (speed)' — one could imagine that the 'shutter' is what 'cuts off' the light, whence the error.

Note that in EN we'd probably be more likely to talk about irregularity in the exposure time (since that's actually what is relevant here), but this is only a different way of expressing 'shutter speed', and hence I suppose here 'shutter'.
