Tech/Engineering - Photography/Imaging (& Graphic Arts) / Digital camera - focal plane shutter - exposure
English term or phrase: cut unevenness
Background: I have to translate (EN > GER) a patent description which has been elaborated in Japan but is written in English. In this description I do not understand the meaning of *cut unevenness* in the following sentence:

"As a result, the timing of the release of the front blade driving member from the front blade locking member does not become regular, so that when an object which is in the same state is shot more than one time, obtained pictures are not necessarily shot in the same exposure state, and a matter which is so-called "cut unevenness" occurs."

Many thanks in advance for your hints!

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you very much for your answer, but unfortunately I don't speak any Asian language. So, would you please explain the term with other words in English, French or German? I know, that this is not easy....
