English term or phrase: American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
Hi everyone! I'm translating textbook material for secondary students from Spanish to English. My translation is in British English. My question is - if I am writing the name of an American organisation, do I make the spelling British because the text is in UK English? Is it 'American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' or do I change it to 'American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists'?

Thanks for your help!

Example sentence(s):
  • A. Don’t worry—neither will look wrong. The text will look American and the name will look British. You can’t change the names of organizations, and most readers will know that.

agree  Charles Davis: Certainly, yes. I can think of an analogous case which I've had several times: the World Trade Organization; its official English name has organization with a z, though I normally spell it with an s.
