All floor space available Explanation: It's a "prospective" airport. That means that no floor space has yet been sold. If you were to rent a shop for example you would have a choice of ALL prospective and available shop units. |

rented in predefined slot sizes Explanation: We can rent for predefined slot size; and possibly not part of it. There can be several slot sizes, however. Say, 20, 50, and 100 sqm. If you want to have 20 sqm shop space, then you can rent a 20 sqm size, but possibly may not rent part of 50 or 100 sqm slot. |

availability of runway slots (and relating issues, services) Explanation: Slots in relation to airports primarily refer to runway availability. Full slot availability means that at this time there were no solt allocations (or bookings) yet, therefore all slots available. Slots being a time period for take off or landing preserved or earmarked for a particular flight. Officially: "a reservation for an instrument flight rule takeoff or landing by an air carrier or an aircraft in air transportation." The relating issues are: terminal or stand capacity, night restrictions, etc. More info: The slot availability displays only show runway slot availability. Other constraints, such as terminal or stand capacity or night period restrictions, may prevent slots being allocated as requested. The aircraft operator is responsible for complying with any and all additional restrictions or conditions that may apply to the operation of a flight at the airport concerned and must check the relevant publications (eg, NOTAMs, the Airport’s Conditions of Use, etc). www.atns.com/21_slot_availability.html IF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION HAS ITS WAY, THE airport slot allocation process in Europe is set for a major overhaul to include much wider use of commercial mechanisms. www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_hb3078/is_200504/ai_n151... Airport slot capacity available for allocation is determined twice yearly by the competent authorities. Calculation of an airport's capacity is based on... europa.eu/scadplus/leg/en/lvb/l24085.htm |
