Hi,

According to my best knowledge, متوجه شدن = to turn to, to face, to address.

However, my Persian textbook has this sentence:
یک نگاههائی کردم ولی درست متوجه نشدم

It translates it as “I looked it over a few times, but I didn’t understand it right.”

Is it really possible that in this case متوجه شدن = I understand?
