Miten tämä termi käännettäisiin englanniksi online-pelin tehtävässä? Onko olemassa samantyyppinen halventava ilmaisu englanniksi X-sukupolvesta, johon tämä suomeksi viittaa?

Thank you! I think this may have a slightly different meaning, as I believe "pullamössösukupolvi" means kids whose "pulla" was smashed for them... but this translation is still good and suits the text we are working with very well.

mollycoddled generation

Explanation:
"Mollycoddled"describes the pampered nature of the Generation X, in my opinion. Sometimes have seen them called Slackers which, however, has also been used to refer to another, earlier generation and has a slightly different connotation.

http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pullamössösukupolvi
"Pullamössösukupolvi on tiettävästi Martin Saarikankaan vuonna 1993 ensimmäisenä esittämä käsite[1][2] ja sittemmin sotien jälkeisten suurten ikäluokkien 1990-luvulta alkaen käyttämä sana, jonka tarkoituksena oli kuvata 1980-luvulla nuoruuttaan elänyttä sukupolvea. Käsite kuvaa sitä, kuinka nuoriso elää helppoa elämää. Vanhempien ikäluokkien mielestä pullamössösukupolvi on saanut elämässään kaiken valmiina eikä ole juuri joutunut ponnistelemaan saavutustensa eteen[3]. Pullamössösukupolveen yhdistetään myös uusavuttomuus joidenkin vanhempien ikäluokkien edustajien mielestä....". Mainly used for helplessness etc. due to having had a very easy life. Nothing really to do with food they were served, as far as I understand, rather more a concept used much in social policy, sociology etc. (and colloquial language, of course). Context for translation will probably determine what term should be used (and the original speaker's/writer's set of values, perhaps!).

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you! This is a very good answer, and probably very close to the truth, as pullamössösukupolvi (I believe) refers to the pampered nature of the generation X to some extent.

disagree  Arja Whiteside (X): pampered nature is not in question here, Characterized by weakness and excessive refinement.......?NOT???

-> Kindly see my note above. Some sort of pampering was involved, intentional or not.

agree  Timo Lehtilä: Considering how the term is described in Wikipedia http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pullamössösukupolvi I would say that 'mollycoddled generation' seems to come quite near.

agree  Lauri Vuoria: According to the definition by Mr. Saarikangas, I'd have to agree as well that 'mollycoddled generation' is very close to the truth.
