Finnish term or phrase: karotishuippu
In a medical report, I found the statement

"Karotishuiput sklerottiset." =

"The carotid [???????] is/are sclerotic."

All my attempts at finding an English equivalent of "karotishuippu" have failed so far. ("cartoid peaks", "carotid extremes", etc. etc. don't bring up any relevant results.)

What is a "karotishuippu"?

Thanks

English translation:terminal carotid artery
Explanation:
I tried searching for "carotid apex" and "carotid apices" and mostly found references to a vascular formation in moyamoya disease. Other websites discussing moyamoya disease describe the same location as the terminal portion of the internal carotid artery. This also makes sense if you look at images of the carotid arteries and the base of the brain.
