designation Explanation: i.e. the identification number 'NBN xxxx', as opposed to the title Possibly, presuming it should be 'indicatief' and based on an assumed borrowing from French (always likely in more or less formal Belgian Dutch). From my simple French/English dictionary, 'indicatief' as a noun means (among other things) the call sign (indicatief d'appel) of a radio station or the dialing code (of a telephone number). -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 43 mins (2007-07-04 10:04:01 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Well, make that 'always possible' (but a French dictionary is always handy with Belgian texts) |
