Flemish term or phrase: inhaalrustdag
Can someone please tell me what a good English translation of this might be? There are so many slightly different kinds of 'rustdagen' in Belgium and the Netherlands...

'inhaalrustdagen', 'vervangingsdagen', 'verlofdagen', 'betaalde verlofdagen', 'vlottende verlofdagen', snipperdagen', etc

(The context is a Belgian Dutch business text.)

Explanation:
I base this answer on the French term for inhaalrustdag: jour compensatoire.

NL -> " Art. 2. Het loon voor elke feestdag, vervangingsdag of inhaalrustdag wordt bepaald overeenkomstig de regels van dit artikel en..."

FR -> " Art. 2. La rémunération de chaque jour férié, de chaque jour de remplacement ou de chaque jour compensatoire est déterminée suivant les règles du présent article et..."

Thanks Chris! I'm not really confident enough to enter it into the Proz open glossary, but I did use 'compensation day' after all. Thanks for the good ref. Belgian Dutch sure can be rather difficult/difficult at times, but I am working on learning it.

Explanation:
Servotte Business Dictionary (Standaard Uitgeverij Antwerpen, Belgium) gives this solution.
As for "inhaal" I would suggest 'backlog' or perhaps 'arrears'. Van Dale NL>EN gives 'day for catching up' (sic) for "inhaaldag".

Notes to answerer
Asker: I think I will eventually use 'compensation day;' it is perhaps a little too general, but I think it's a safer option. Perhaps 'compensatory rest day,' but that doesn't sound quite right either. Thanks!
