Moeilijker wordt het wanneer twee vaktermen dezelfde inhoud weergeven. Welke is dan correct en welke het duidelijkst? Een mooi voorbeeld is tegenstelbaar . Als een huurcontract tegenstelbaar aan derden is, moeten ook derden, dus niet alleen de huurder en de verhuurder, het contract respecteren. Tegenstelbaar mag dan in Vlaanderen ruim verspreid zijn, correct is het volgens de woordenboeken en het Burgerlijk Wetboek niet. Die hebben het immers over tegenwerpelijk of tegenwerpbaar. (...)
