alkoxide Explanation: The reference states "De reactie met een hydroxideion OH- geeft een alkoxide (HOCH2CH2O-) dat ook weer in lengte kan groeien." OK that is a reaction directly with a hydroxide ion, but you get the sam result with an alkali metal. You can also find other web pages using "alkoxide".
