English translation:notarial and litigation costs [/fees]
Explanation:
Depending on the context (which may not be obvious from the accounts), frais d'acte might refer to the costs involved in drawing up and executing deeds but more broadly the fees associated with lawyers dealing the non-contentious matter of drawing up and legalizing various documents. "Notarial" seems to cover these matters even if they are not necessarily reserved to "notaries" in EN legal contexts.

I would usually then translate "contentieux" as litigation in this situation.

You could probably just group all of this under "legal fees" or "legal costs" (and I probably would if I were drafting the EN document from scratch) but in order to stick close-ish to the ST I think the above solution is preferable, explicitly distinguishing between what in FR legal context would be the work of a notaire on the one hand and an avocat on the other but which might be dealt with largely under one heading in the UK for example, where both contentious and non-contentious legal work tends to go through solicitors, even if the sharp end of litigation may then involve recourse to a barrister.

Explanation:
In my 'day' - up to half a century ago in 1969/1970, when there was, at the number of 25,000, a perceived shortage of Solicitors in England & Wales, as opposed to 175,000-odd today (so standards must have gone up!), the relevant first item on a UK (albeit non-notarial bill of costs, later euphemistically termed a fee note) would have be 'as to engrossment of documents and stamp/*taxe de publicité foncière* > land registration duty.

Example sentence(s):
