Balance of account of the tax payabe; (BrE: HMRC Statement of Account) Tax Balancing Charge
Explanation:
Yes. Rather a tax balance payable.

Note that, recently, I have recvd. an HMRC statement of account with such a balancing charge to tax, though balancing allowances (credit) and charges (debit) are strictly the lingo of capital wirting-down allowances.

PS liquidation in Roamnce languages, like Spanish and Italian, can often mean the taking of an a/c or a/cs.

  • The written-down value is considered the actual value of the asset for tax purposes. As a result, a balancing charge is considered profit and is taxable.

neutral  Daryo: the "liquidation" part is missing

-> 'PS liquidation in Roamnce languages, like Spanish and Italian, can often mean the taking of an a/c or a/cs' = statement of account o/s

agree  Germaine: ou "balance of tax payable". Un "solde de liquidation" et un "solde" = montant qui reste à payer pour mettre le compte à 0.

-> Merci et thanks! Daryo seems to confusing une dette liquide as a liquidated/fixed-sum debt with liquidation as an account for settlement.

disagree  Daryo: you can have a "balance of an account" NOT a "balance of a payment" // an account can have a "balance" - a payment can NOT have a "balance" - no "explanation" of any kind can change that.

neutral  Germaine: Agree with Daryo: such "balance due" is a "balance of tax payable" not a balance of "tax payment", which would correspond to a provisional account balance or to a credit/refundable amount, as the case may be.
