Hi all -

I have a rental car invoice with a number of abbreviations and amounts.

There are three columns headed:
PU HT / TVA / TOTAL

Under PU HT is a series of amounts for each entry
Under TVA is "TN" for each entry
Under TOTAL is a series of amounts for each entry

Can anyone tell me what TN means in TVA (VAT) column?

It probably stands for taux normal (as opposed to taux intermédiaire or taux réduit), as in the standard VAT rate applies.

Explanation:
In France, TAV is described as being 'taux normal' or 'taux réduit'

For car hire, the 'standard' rate is what would normally apply.

In the UK, we refer to it as 'standard rate VAT'

The only reason for my low confidence rating is simply because this can only ever be an informed guess, when dealing with acronyms like this!
