This is the title of a subject during the foundation year at Marseille's "Ecole superieure d'art et de design publique"

The full title of the course reads:

Volume et sculpture Monstration, accrochage

It may be that there is a good title covering the entire line, which would be helpful, but I am unsure how many terms I would be putting through here.

Are you sure it's one subject and not two? The capital M for Monstration seems odd.

No, volume is not the same as area, it's a term commonly used in three-dimensional art, as in "this sculpture has a strong sense of volume".

I think you'll find "accrochage" specifically refers to hanging from a wall or ceiling using hooks, so hanging would be better than mounting. Since most sculptures are displayed rather than hung like paintings, I think this is two subjects - it just makes more sense to me.
