This corresponds to the time when Explanation: I would write it like this except that I'm assuming, without being sure, that the Pathe Baby used 16mm Kodak. The date of the oldest film, on average, is 1927. This is around the same time as [this corresponds to the time when] family cinema emerged in 1923 with the advent of 9.5 mm, and the Pathé Baby camera which followed in 1924 with its 16 mm Kodak format. "Family films probably make up the majority of the collections." I did not see Philgoddard's comment begore writing this, so I defer to his opinion as to whether this is a proper Kudoz question. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 57 mins (2017-06-07 12:29:22 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- *before writing* -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2017-06-07 12:49:50 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Yes, I've never understood "that" vs. "as" in this construction but I think both are acceptable. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2017-06-07 12:53:18 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- correction - *did not see writeaway's comment* |
