datum reference (line) shall be traced Explanation: The line serves a reference for the measurement of the height and depth of different parts of the buidling. It is at a "conventional" (arbitary but known) height above real ground level (so it doesn't get hidden from view) and is of a "conventional" colour (blue) to differentiate it from other lines that might be traced on the structure.
