French term or phrase: rapport de mise en chauffe
Hello,
These are instructions for the laying of floor tiles. The context is:

• Dans le cas d’un chauffage par le sol :
la température du sol ne doit pas dépasser{1}28 °C.
Ne commencer les travaux que si le rapport de mise en chauffe a été reçu.

Many thanks for any help on this.

commissioning report for the underfloor heating
Explanation:
Before laying the floor tiles, you would want to be sure that the underfloor heating system works. This commissioning report, issued by the installer of the heating system, would confirm this.

Penny, re "rapport contradictoire", I would say "joint report" is an option, a report signed by the parties, typically stating the work that has been completed and what remains to be completed or reworked.

Best regards.

Notes to answerer
Asker: That's perfect - thank you, Carlos! I understood the meaning but couldn't find the correct English terminology. I've come across a similar phrase in the same document that gives rise to a similar problem (this is much more technical than I usually take on!) - Une reconnaissance des supports doit avoir été réalisée et le rapport contradictoire formalisé. My draft is "You must ensure that a substrate survey has been conducted and documented." I know that 'rapport contradictoire' is often means 'mutual' or 'joint' but I'm not sure if that is the meaning here. Do you have any ideas? Thanks so much for your help.

Asker: Thanks so much everyone!
