Suggested: batten end saddle piece

As far as I understand it it is one of the 3 types of batten ends used in batten roll roofing.
Whilst the other 2 (upper end and bottom end) seem to be commonly used in different countries, I found this type only in french and german documentation...

Explanation:
Dicobat dictionary for building terminology has an entry "patte d'oie" which says "large couteau trapézoïdal servant à enduire". Even though this description does not match the picture, I Believe it is correct, in which case it is also a putty knife

neutral  B D Finch: A "patte d'oie" is also a junction of five roads or paths, a group of tendons at the back of the knee and a structure at the end of a goose's leg. All as irrelevant here as a putty knife.
