French term or phrase: chapeaux de rives
In a quotation for construction works:

It's some form of steel reinforcement, but I can't find the specific EN equivalent

Thanks in advance for your help!

Produit : Plancher Hourdis

Not very convinced as the same term "ridge cap" is also used for capping the ridge of the roof. Perhaps another peer can trace my reference and find a better suited term.

The context my be translated as following:

=>
Platform 16 + 5 non-insulating including the supply and laying of prefabricated concrete slabs, hollow gauged slabs (Hourdis stone) of 16, ridge caps, welded mesh and concrete with 350 kg of cement.

The indication "350 kg" is not very comprehensible in the context. I suppose that it refers to the compressive strength, rather than to any cement proportion the concrete or its weight. If this is correct, the unit should be converted to Si standards, i.e. N/mm². Please clarify this with the client.

disagree  Tony M: 'ridge' is not 'rive' — and talking about ridges makes no sense in relation to a block-and-beam flooring structure. Your single parallel ref. is an obviously poor FR > EN translation and certainly not to be relied upon. / "Some" — but not this one!

-> same terms may be used for different purposes or trades, cf. the different meanings of "bank"

neutral  Charles Davis: Ridge caps are roofing elements, as you say. The translation you quote is simply wrong. // I have also failed to find any.

-> I already douted on "rigde cap", but fond no other French-English homepage for "chapeau de rive", unfortunately.

bent rebar or bent reinforcement bar

Explanation:
Another approach:

The Penguin Dictionary of Buildings contains the following entries:

reinforcement bar, reinf., rebar, steel: A steel rod used as reinforcement for concrete.
The placing of bars inside formwork is done by steelfixers working to the structural drawings and binding schedules. The bars must have earth bonding. See cover.

cover (1)
A lid or cap that can be removed for access or inspection.
(2) A decorative moulding, fillet, or plate to hide a joint or fixing.
(3) The thickness of one material placed over another, usually to protect it, such as concrete over reinforcement or backfilling over buried pipes or cables.

bending schedule, bar s.
A list of reinforcement bars giving their location and details of cutting and bending, usual worked out by the steel supplier from the structural drawings. Bars are delivered in bundles, each with a label enabling the steelfixers to see which bending schedule to use.

Unfortunately no detailed description of the different reinforcement bar types.

Rebar (short for reinforcing bar), known when massed as reinforcing steel or reinforcement steel,[1] is a steel bar or mesh of steel wires used as a tension device in reinforced concrete and reinforced masonry structures to strengthen and aid the concrete under tension.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebar
(No types, either)

Bent anchor bolts are embedded in concrete and used to support structural steel columns, light poles, highway sign structures, bridge rail, equipment, and many other applications. The bent portion, or “leg”, of the anchor bolt serves to create resistance so that the bolt does not pull out of the concrete foundation when force is applied.
https://www.portlandbolt.com/products/bent/anchor-bolts/

These are commonly used in Louisiana DOT paving. When there is a split slab, half of the bent rebar is inserted into the concrete and the other half is protected by a wood key way. When the forms and wood key way is removed the L shaped bent bar is exposed . When ready to pour the other side of the slab the bar is bent straight to act as a tie bar to tie the two slabs together.

Rebar Corner Bars
• Preformed rebar at 90 degree angle
• Used to reinforce the corners of concrete slabs
• Tie together vertical and horizontal pieces of rebar
:
Corner bars are typically used to reinforced the corners of slabs and to tie together vertical and horizontal pieces of rebar.

We can custom fabricate:
• Stirrups
• Circles
• Serpentine ties
• Right angles
• Triangles
https://www.pjsrebar.com/rebar-fabrication-shear-bent

Conclusion: no specific designation found for bent rebars matching different applications.

Beam bar anchorage with simple hooks and transverse bars (metal pins) ≥Ø within the bent section
The term ‘anchorage’ represents the extension of a reinforcement bar inside the concrete, in order to achieve adequate cohesion of the two materials, steel and concrete.

neutral  Tony M: Again, this describes its form — but not its function, as the FR does. As such, it is far too general.
4 hrs
-> I know, but you've already stated that UK terms often refer to the form rather than to the function, contrary to French customs.

disagree  B D Finch: NO, there are lots of reasons for bending rebar and "chapeau de rives" a very specific one.
