I don't quite see the contrepèterie, but D.E.A. corresponds to a level that can be obtained after 5 years of successful university study. The A.E.A. is an "attestation" as Marco has helpfully pointed out. If I understand this correctly, then it is an "attestation" that the person has completed one of the modules required for the D.E.A. That would mean it is like an "attestation de réussite", a sort of "certificate of (successful) completion" of one of the modules/units required.

The link is very helpful as it clarifies both the abbreviation and the "DE Biologie Humaine DE Biophysique" phrase which obviously seems to have been reversed from "(A.E.A.) de Biophysique de Biologie Humaine" by the learned candidate thereby creating a contrepèterie.
