51% of the points required to pass, suggests that the person did not pass as they only attained a little over half of what was required. The sources actually means that the candidate scored 51% of the available marks/points etc. and therefore passed. (In FR systems, or those based on the FR scoring system, it is standard practice for a passmark to be set at 50%. I think it would be agood idea to add a couple of words for clarification. " X pour cent des points aux conditions de réussite fixées par l'ordonnance X": "X percent of the marks [available] and required to pass according to ...X" |
