This is an item in a table that provides instructions to a cleaning firm on how to go about cleaning various parts of a self-service restaurant (it comes under the subheading "LOCAUX DE RESTAURANT (SELF-SERVICE – CAFETERIA…"). The list of items is as follows:

Four à micro-ondes

Chariots de transport
Bande débarrassage

At first, I thought it might be some sort of conveyor belt system whereby the "chariots de transport/food tray trolleys" are unloaded onto a conveyor belt that takes them into the kitchen for washing, etc. But I wonder if it's just an area where the trays are unloaded. I'm afraid that I have no more context, as it's just a table full of terms! IATE gives "trolley for removing used tableware" for "chariot de débarrassage de la vaisselle", so it must be something along those lines. Does anyone know precisely what it might be in UK English, please?

Explanation:
I'd usually use dishwashing area or station but there are special tables with plug and waste holes for clearing dishes; see this link

this area has to be near the bins for waste disposal. Foodstuffs (from scrapings of plates) went into one bin and were picked up to be fed to pigs as "swill"

neutral  Catharine Cellier-Smart: possibly, but to me 'dishwashing area' implies area where the dishes are washed//not disputing that but IMO "bande débarrassage" only means place where clients or waiting staff place dirty dishes, so no scraping or washing. Worked kitchens too as student!

  -> well, CCS, worked in a lot of kitchens. The plates are scraped into bins then placed on table for dishwasher (i.e the person who physically puts them in the dishwasher machine). Pots etc put in the sink to handwash/scrub). Usually small area in kitchen

Explanation:
I agree with you Alan, the term 'bande' must refer to some kind of conveyor belt, and 'débarrassage' refers to its purpose. I've seen them before in French company restaurants.
