Any good ideas on how to render the following sentence. I can't think of a good equivalent English play on words. I'm working to a very tight deadline and it kind of slows down the creative juices!

le blouson noir est souvent un signe social à la mode chez les jeunes; les garcons veulent un blouson en cuir noir pour acquérir un certain statut auprès des filles.
Chez Titeuf il y beaucoup de crédulité, c´est ce qui fait le charme et le succés de ces bandes dessinées !
Ici c´est du Titeuf tout craché, c´est donc tout simplement des graines pour planter et récolter des blousons noirs !

j´ai trouvé que le blouson noir se disait aussi Rocker, mais apparement c´est un substantif un peu vieilli ... ;-)

"blousons noirs" désigne depuis les années 60 des délinquants, qui se déplaçaient et s'affontaient engénéral en bande. Les médias leur ont trouvé ce "nom" car ils étaient vêtus de blousons noirs.
être un "blouson noir" signifie appartenir à cette bande de délinquants.
AUjourd'hui encore, il est utilisé dans ce sens.
Il faudrait le traduire par le nom des premières bandes de jeunes apparues en angleterre, ou Etats-unis, tout dépend pour quel public ceci est destiné.

agree  Claire Chapman: I might say 'hoods' instead of 'hooligans," (it's short for 'hoodlums'). Basically its the same thing & I don't know that it makes a difference :-)//The grandmother is speaking & she could be dated :-)

If you want to "localize" it (presuming it's for the UK) and bring it up to date, how about "chav seeds"?

Or "hoodie seeds" to keep the clothing reference?
