French term or phrase: (jouer aux) micadots
Greetings,

I hope I've spelt the word correctly. From what I understood, it was the name of a game involving slivers of wood selected from a glass, or battleships – I'm really not sure as the lady who was explaining it to me had to leave in a hurry in order to give a French lesson.

All the best, and many thanks,

Simon

English translation:(play) spillikins
Explanation:
Where I come from (north of England) this game is called Spillikins or sometimes pick-up-sticks. You need steady hands to remove a thin wooden stick from the pile without dislodging any of the others - I remember playing this for hours and getting very good at it.
