Firstly, apologies for certain missing accents!

This is an online fantasy role-playing game set in the times of Arthur. The Lurikeens and Elfes are two different races/peoples duing this period. This section describes each race one after the other and compares them.

Does it mean that these two peoples are different in every way or does it mean that they are in conflict with each other? Or something else?

If you need more context please ask. Thank you.

who are "les" in this phrase? That is the question
Explanation:
There is clearly a 3rd party in here, which has strictly nothing in common with the Lurikeens and the Elfes. It is NOT that the Ls and the Es are completely different but that this other race (?), probably mentioned just before in the text, is compared to them both and found to be different in every way

they are the complete antithesis of the Lurikeens and Elfes

(whoever \"they\" may be)

The paragraph was indeed about another race and you are absolutely right. It was saying that the Shar (another race) are completely different to the Elves and Lurikeen. Thank you very much! I couldn't see that for some reason so thanks for noticing that even though I had not given the previous sentence.
