I am translating an article regarding experiments in animals (turn away now if you disapprove!).


I am unable to find anything regarding "activity-free animals" or "animals released from their activities" so I must be barking up the wrong tree. Does anyone know what they are getting at here!


Le groupe contrôle est constitué d’animaux laissés libres de leurs activités, immédiatement après chirurgie, dans leur environnement habituel.
