French term or phrase: avoir envie de
Hi. How can we translate this? Thank you all very much.

Il fait beau aujourd'hui. Le soleil brille. J'ai envie d'aller faire une balade. C'est joli par ici. C'est agréable. Le paysage est superbe. La nature est fantastique.

J'ai envie d'aller faire une balade.

I feel like going for a walk.

You actually had the right answer... All I had to do was to confirm ! I am aware some people will say "... I fancy a walk ...", but I rather "fancy" this translation !!!
There’s an old joke about “computer generated translations” – which you probably know…
A programmer has finalised the most efficient and accurate software capable of translating any language into any other. The Government is obviously interested, and it delegates a minister to investigate.
The minister asks the programmer if his software can, for instance, translate “…spirit is strong, but flesh is weak…” into Russian.
Of course, sys the programmer, and he launches the operation. The outcome seems perfect.
The minister then asks if this short sentence can be translated back into English.
Here we go, says the programmer, and the minister is flabbergasted when he reads the outcome… “The wine is good, but the meat is awful”…!

Thank you very much Jenny, although I do not believe I deserve any points for that… To me, it’s just plain obvious !!!
