French term or phrase: plages de travail
In a questionnaire dealing with quality and conditions of working life:

Avez-vous un horaire de travail mobile (vous décidez vous-même du moment où vous commencez et terminez votre travail tout en respectant éventuellement certaines plages de travail quotidiennes)?

Is this something along the lines of core time, the period when all employees who have flexible working hours have to be at the workplace?

fixed time slots
Explanation:
It is referring to the hours between which employees on flexible hours can work. For example you may have to work eight hours a day but can do this between 8am and 8pm so you may choose to work 8am to 4pm or midday to 8pm or something in between. The 8am to 8pm slot is the plage de travail.

agree  Yvonne Gallagher: or core time
16 hrs

neutral  Tony M: There is soemthing slightly contradictory between your definition of 'the wide time slot within you must fit your hours' and the opposite notion of the 'core time' when everyone must be there. Not sure which is intended here, but they seem to me different

fixed time possibilities

Explanation:
I would say fixed time possibilities because the 'plages' suggests a zone of possibility which each worker then adapts to fit his own schedule
